First thing in the morning, we went all the way up to Victoria Peak Gardens, which is one of our favourite places in Hong Kong. It was quite busy yesterday, with a small group of kindy children taking their graduation photos (many schools’ graduations were cancelled because of Covid-19) a few dog walkers, and lots of hikers up on the concrete slab where Mountain Lodge, the Governor’s summer retreat, used to be. We practised throwing and catching in preparation for the cricket season later this year.
The view from the top was stunning as always! As the sunshine heated up we took the Governor’s Walk down to Harlech Road which is part of the loop around the Peak. Once we were back at the Galleria and Tower we had another favourite, cha siu fan, for lunch. Refuelled and rested, we continued down Findlay Path, then Barker Road, then onto Chatham Path for the first time. It is a lovely (if steep) winding path that takes you down to May Road. Taxi home, then an afternoon of baking and geeking (making an app!).
