Saturday 4th July – Haw Par Mansion

It was a stunning weekend, the bright blue sky was scattered with fluffy white clouds – but the sun was relentless. It was incredibly hot on Saturday and Sunday.

After a fun Cricket session in the morning and lunch at home, we had our piano lesson at 2.30, then Mummy had booked us onto a tour at Haw Par Mansion, which used to sit in the middle of the Tiger Balm Gardens. It is just at the bottom of Tai Hang Road. The tour was free, but not very good – it was all in Cantonese with a little interpretation (even though it was supposed to be in English) and there were thousands of mosquitoes, and it was pretty slow. The mansion is beautiful and it was cool to see the inside of it.
In the evening Felix took up Granary’s challenge, to cook chicken stir fry. It was delicious!
